VERY poor customer service- North Carolina McDonald’s #12332

We have had multiple bad experiences at the McDonald’s franchise on 865 Durham Rd, Wake Forest NC 27587, #12332. Frequent mistakes on orders, poor quality food prep (partially wrapped) foods and drinks (low syrup, low carbonation), extremely rude staff, long wait times even when preordering on an app.!!! Case in point: Yesterday, I ordered a Sausage McMuffin with a folded egg and a large diet coke. Total:$4.10. I gave the young man $5.10 and he returned 90 cents to me…. When I challenged him, nicely at first, about only wanting a dollar bill back, since he was extremely flustered (I assume he was new), he insisted I was only due 90 cents-all in dimes. I asked several times to look again- I asked to see the manager- a female supervisor was standing nearby and wanted to know -gruffly- “what was going on”…. He explained that I did not want 90 cents but $1 back; she replied that based on the receipt- which I did not have in my possession, I was only due 90 cents. I tried to explain it to her. The young man (1) did not enter the right amount of what I gave him; (2) did not know how/where to check how to fix this problem for the customer (and it is truly not about the dime owed); then (3) the female supervisor yelled across two employees at the window, “give her her money and get her out of here!”….. 90 cents not $1. As I said, it is not really about the dime. I asked to see the manager, who was sadly one and the same as the supervisor! I went to the pick up window and asked to see her, and was told she was on a headset. I said I would wait. In order not to hold up the drive thru line, which I should have done perhaps, I told the clerk at pick up that I would be in the pick up waiting spot a few feet ahead. The “manager” was a no -show. I will NEVER darken this door again, but please, how about some solution to this kind of poor service?? My husband gave up on this location months ago, but I go on my way to work. No More. Please…..poor training is the reason for all of this….or your franchisee hires people who simply don’t care. Perhaps make a visit to Chik Fil A for some guidance? I am curious as to your response.
