Discrimination out of VT Dunkin donuts in Morristown Vt. Jacob Rillo manager said he terminated me for staring at cups, and that I came in too early for work and that there were things he heard from other employees. I was just hired and didn’t get quality training. There are a number of females I worked with who were quite mean and they actually seem to run Jacob the manager. If they don’t like a new person they make up lies about them. One girl said tip money fell out of her pocket and went missing, another said her air pods were missing; the announcing of missing items amongst co workers during the shift..is unprofessional, and a underhanded way to cast unfavorable attention on someone who happens to be new. Based on the small group of people and interpersonal communication. I was being accused of thievery. I was the target of rude and threatening insults swearing of indirect insults. Such as “there’s too many bitches here now”, I’m going to kill whoever left their cup on the back table, omg thank you —-give me a hug, I’m so glad I’m not alone with her, how stupid can you be?, omg im gonna kill this bitch. There is also usage of personal earbuds for listening to music and personal phone chats. One night employee (specifically) yells and swears at her boyfriend regardless of customers.) She is abusive and I actually apologized for the vulgar language to a guest w a child, i said i dont think she realizes theres a child in here. It’s also unclear if I’m getting told “F you as I walk by .. but she uses this communication tool to sprew out vitriol anytime she wants and her anger is validated due to the b.f in jail who is always trying to-and does-upset her! She is guilty for loving a criminal and …a big oops to the passer-by(s) that her ‘unintentional’ wrath fell upon. She is a leader btw. But she says she doesn’t give a f— about her job. Also- the chore list? She says, “No one actually does the chores.” She told me just to sign off on my assignment. Sweeping/mopping entire store and by the looks, I believed that no one really does their chores..and shes the night time crew leader. She has a terrible attitude, she tells customers we’re not serving food if she’s feeling lazy..which she is often. Most all the females are in her clique and they disappear as a group and leave front unattended, but for me. I was clearly excluded and bullied and sabotaged in a difficult way to point out. I was quiet and tried to ignore the sideways comments and accusations. I cleaned and tried to improve the night shift. Unfortunately I only got two days before being fired for staring at cups, things others said about me, and I came in too early ..but people told me to clock in 5 times..but I didn’t hear that directive once. I will admit I didn’t make a good start with making it into my shifts .. the day I was terminated I came in at 730 and was scheduled for noon. I should have been told to come back later. If that was the case. Not made a mockery of about it. Especially that it was decided to allow me to stay and clock in .. no one said that to me. Staring at cups? This is why I was terminated. And he said this in front of everyone…that he had a substance abuse problem in 2017.
