Wendy’s @ 55th & Keystone, Indianapolis
No way to ensure this gets to the correct person as you cannot obtain a list of franchise owners for this chain.
I am the only person in the lobby waiting at the counter to order. I did not see any cars in the drive through but there could have a couple – I just know that I could not see a car as far back as the order board. A young black female with blonde hair was at the register pulling off a piece of paper. She said someone would be with me shortly. About 3 minutes later a young black male passed me to get a drink. He later came back again to fill another cup. The young black girl noticed that nobody had yet taken my order and said something to the effect of, “we have someone waiting at the counter”. Then an older black female came to the front, pulled something off of the register there and walked away. I finally said, “is anyone available to wait on me or would you prefer I go elsewhere?” Eventually (not promptly) another black female came to the counter and asked what I wanted. No apology for the obvious delay – at least 5 minutes – not even a polite greeting or smile. Payed, got my chili and then the young black female with blonde hair said she would have to go get crackers and said she would be back. I eventually was able to leave.
I worked in Human Resources for 40 years and have hired and fired many in those years. My last assignment was employee relations for call centers for Anthem in Indianapolis. This entire staff would have been fired in any company I have worked for, Anthem included. The owner needs to do a few “secret shopper” experience to see for themselves. It is not a level of service I would ever expect from a major restaurant chain and I can assure you that Dave would be HORRIFIED to have seen this. 4 total employees in an empty restaurant and 3 of them walked by me at the counter literally 4 times! Simply NO excuse for this and I can’t imagine how you stay in business at this location. I know I will not support this place in the future. Pathetic!!!
